Emerald is the birthstone of May. It is considered a precious mineral as well as belonging to the family of Beryl along with Aquamarine & Heliodor(to name a couple). It is a fairly hard stone compared to something in the quartz family with some of the earliest findings dating back to 1300 BC. in Egypt. In ancient Rome it was considered a symbol of fertility & associated with the goddess Venus and for Christians the stone of resurrection. It is also believed by some to be a stone that has the abilities to assuage fear, improve memory, persuasiveness, & be able to cure a variety of diseases. It can also potentially bring about joy or help bestow the gift of prophecy.
Brass Wire has the benefits of looking like gold while providing greater corrosion than copper while having the same affordability & durability. However, It's main attribute is being bactericidal, meaning it is antimicrobial - killing pathogens within minutes to hours of contact even against anti-biotic resistant bacteria (hence it's use as doorknobs & musical instruments for hundreds of years).
